Murumuru Health Benefits

As described above, Mururmuru possess various health benefits. This fruit is not only edible, but it can be used topically as well. Once the seeds have been picked, they are then extracted into a butter that is white or yellowish in color. The aromatic profile is subtle, earthy and nutty, reflecting it's unrefined nature. Murumuru Butter can be used in the kitchen as a cooking alternative to cocoa butter and coconut oil, due to it's similar fatty acid profile. It is general safe for consumption when used in this way, but that is still being explored.

Murumuru Butter also is a great moisturizer for the skin. Rich in its fatty acids, Murumuru Butter can penetrate the skin barrier delivering intense hydration, making this an excellent butter to use on sensitive or dry, cracked skin. More skin benefits include improving skin regeneration, wound healing, reducing wrinkles, and offering a protective barrier that helps the skin seal in moisture.

Why Monét Couture Beauty included Murumuru Butter in it's hair and skin products.

As a beauty brand that prides themselves as a hand-crafted, vegan, luxury alternative, I wanted to expand my reach in the different markets from hair to skin and the entire integumentary system. I stopped using products that offered only the look of better health but not embodying what IS better health. So many different products are targeted but not many are actually targeting the problem or are offering healthier solutions to said problem. Many people experience hair related issues but they don't know where to look or who to go to, to improve the issues they face. Many products on the beauty shelves and online in the beauty sector have ingredients that disrupt the endocrine system, causing hormones to be disregulated resulting in hair loss, hair breakage, certain cancers and thyroid problems.  I researched, measured, tested with the most sedulous care to ensure that the ingredients I used did not cause harm. Natural ingredients, plant derived ingredients or seeds derived ingredients are the only ingredients I use to make any blend. Specifically, Murumuru Butter being a seed derived ingredient that can be used in an array of ways, this multi-purpose fruit is also difficult to harvest due to where it grows. Instead of choosing the easy approach using what is popular, easy to source, commercially and chemically altered, I stuck with my promise that emcompasses that beauty and care go together.
